What is the Wheels Baseball Tournament?

The Wheels Baseball Tournament is an invitational tournament put on by friends of Larry "Wheels" Hinson in honor of his memory and friendship. Teams from all over the east coast come to battle along side some of South Carolina's finest baseball teams. The proceeds of this three day long tournament are split into three scholarships that are given to three local outstanding senior baseball players. These three individuals must not only show great pride in the game of baseball, but also demonstrate intelligence in the classroom and  involvement throughout the community. The Tournament is put on each year in loving memory of Larry "Wheels" Hinson" who passed away November 27, 2004.

Who is Larry "Wheels" Hinson?

Larry was first a baseball fan, coach, umpire, and friend to youth sports in the Rock Hill area. Larry was a very active coach with Rock Hill Parks and Recreation and YMCA youth Sports. He loved helping kids find and develop their special talents. Larry cherished his relationships with close friends from childhood to adulthood. He was constantly heard to challenge friends with his famous words... "Who Loves You?"
